Streamate Exec Liz Rek Joins FSC Board

LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition board of directors has tapped Streamate executive Liz Rek as its newest member, effective immediately.

Rek was appointed to fill the seat of longtime board member Reed Lee, who passed in late December. She entered the industry in 2000, and during her tenure, she has worked in various capacities at Streamate, where she is currently the company's director of marketing. She also serves as board secretary for Pineapple Support.

“Free Speech Coalition is a vital force in building our industry and defending our rights,” said Rek. “I have been a champion of FSC for years, and now, at a time of unprecedented challenges, I’m eager to be a more integral part of the fight. FSC has shown that when we stand together, when we stand up to censorship and discrimination, we are truly powerful. Now is not the time to stand on the sidelines. We need everyone involved.”

FSC Executive Director Alison Boden said, “Liz knows our industry and is passionate about our work and workers. We are lucky to have her on our board, and I look forward to having her as a resource for the fight ahead.”
